Sem 2 week 6

 This week I made the decision to scrap the mocap recording for this project for a few reasons.


1. Manually animating the characters in blender will be more true to the stop motion aesthetic as it will replicate the theory of moving a model frame by frame.

2. Time constraints: I am familiar with the motion capture to Maya pipeline but not blender. I think learning this new pipeline and process will take too much time, especially considering I am running behind schedule currently.

3. I like the like of the manual movements already. With the posing tests with Mikey's rigged model last week, I am staring to visualize the aesthetic I conceptualized earlier in the project.


Referring back to my timetable, this week should be spent mocap recording and processing, however now that I don't need to record this data, I have this week to continue rigging and begin animating manually. 



Continuing from last week, I parented and did some pose tests for the monster characters.
