Sem 2 week 7

Now that all the models had been rigged and I was satisfied with the aesthetic, I began animation tests. This also helped finalise lighting compositions and textures for the characters.

I animated a short sequence for each of the characters:

Mikey:

Mr. Clown:

Monster 1:

Monster 2:

I think these short animations, show off each of the characters personalities too.

Next, I applied a VHS filter to each of them to make sure not too much distortion was occurring. The result was quite pleasing as it was the aesthetic I was hoping to achieve.

Now that I have been reassured of my aesthetic and technical process, I imported the characters into their respective scenes and began animating. I started with the daytime farm scenes with Mikey and the clown.

Each animation will consist of around 100 - 200 frames before switching camera angles. This will also keep my in line with the time limits for this project.

For lighting, I used a dynamic skybox that allowed me to change and keyframe the lighting levels and sky colors if needed. I also used point lights next to Mikey to draw attention to his texture details.

For the next few weeks I aim to animate all of my scenes.
